Two measurements, two sizes — with honest between-sizes advice.
Chart: generic textile-jacket body sizing (XS 34–36 … 4XL 48–50 in). Traditional leather cruiser jackets often run ~4″ large in the label — always check the brand's own chart.
Chart: generic glove sizing (XS 7–7.5 … 2XL 9.5–10 in). Leather gloves stretch — a snug new fit is usually right.
Wrap a tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms, keeping it level. Wear a normal base layer, breathe normally, and don't pull the tape tight.
Textile jackets usually do. Traditional leather cruiser jackets frequently run about 4 inches large in the label — a "42" may fit a 38-inch chest. Adventure and sport brands each have their quirks, so the brand's own chart beats any generic one.
Snug with no extra material bunching at the fingertips, but not so tight your hands go numb. Leather gloves stretch roughly half a size with break-in.
